Dev Log 1 - Welcome to Masters of Anghoul!


Welcome to MoA, a co-op dungeon-crawling adventure game. More will be revealed as time goes on, but the core of the game is to traverse long dungeons beating monsters, mini bosses, and then the final boss, all with your friends to collect loot, help NPCs, and discover new areas.

As time goes on, we'll show what we've completed since our last post, showing off new mechanics, worlds, NPCs, and much more.

The core player mechanics are almost complete, so we're excited to show you all of the stuff players will have access to!

==RACE AND CLASS SELECTION==

Here is a gif on how the race and classes Æffect the player's stats.

As you can see, some of the stats bottom out to 0 (like mana with the Goliath), which is not a permanent feature. We have a written list of proficiencies and deficiencies of each race, which is marked by numbers increasing in increments of 5, starting at 0. As time goes on and we big to work more with balancing the gameplay these stats will change.

==HEALTH==

The health system has been mostly implemented and tested with a basic multiplayer PVP system. It's Æffected by the "vitality" stat, which will be disclosed in a future dev log. Currently the only issue is that it doesn't completely work in multiplayer games, but currently our focus isn't to get that to work.

==MANA==

The mana system has been fully implemented and tested with basic stat boost spells. Currently mana doesn't have any real use since real spells have not been added to the game, but the regen system is in place so when spells get added, no further programming will need to happen.

==STAMINA==

Stamina is a slight trick of all trades. Everyone will need stamina to sprint, no matter their race or class, however certain classes will need stamina to use their special skills. Classes like Swordsman, Monk, and Ranger will need stamina for their skills. We've tested the skill usage with stamina with some basic stat boosting skills, and the sprinting system is also fully in place.
